Opportunum
Privacy.
Opportunum is designed to help you organise academic opportunities without turning your plans into someone else’s data.
Effective 26 August 2026
Information stored on your device
Saved opportunities and personal notes are stored locally on your device. Opportunum does not require an account to use its core features.
Search and external sources
When you search, Opportunum sends your query to the opportunity sources you have enabled so it can retrieve matching public listings. Those sources may process requests under their own privacy policies. Opportunum does not sell your searches or use them for advertising.
Spotlight
Saved opportunity metadata can be indexed by Apple Spotlight so you can return to an opportunity from system search. Personal notes are never included in the Spotlight index.
Calendar and Reminders
Access is requested only after you choose to add an event or reminder. Calendar access is add-only; Opportunum does not read your calendar. Reminders access is used only to create the reminder you request, and Opportunum does not read or change your other reminders.
Widgets, Siri, and Shortcuts
Opportunum shares the minimum local information needed with its own widget extension to show your next saved deadline. App Intents make supported actions available to Siri, Shortcuts, Spotlight, and Apple Intelligence through Apple’s system frameworks.
Analytics, advertising, and tracking
Opportunum does not include advertising or cross-app tracking. The current version does not use third-party analytics SDKs.
External links
Opportunity details may link to third-party websites where applications are hosted. Once you leave Opportunum, the destination website’s privacy policy applies.
Changes to this policy
If Opportunum’s data practices change, this page will be updated before the relevant app version is released.
